About Dr. Wilhite
Emily Wilhite is the Type A, OCD, perfectionist that you always wanted in a dentist. But don’t let this fool you! She is also kind hearted, compassionate, and genuinely cares about the well-being of all of her patients. When she joined the team at GFFD, she brought the perfect balance to Dr. Green’s spontaneity and forgetfulness.
A native of West Monroe, Louisiana, Emily graduated from Louisiana Tech before completing dental school at LSU School of Dentistry. She learned in dental school how to multi-task, balancing a rigorous curriculum with the joys (and stress) of early motherhood. She and her family moved back to West Monroe to begin her dental career and continue to grow their family.
The Wilhite family took a leap of faith in the summer of 2020 and moved to MS to join the GFFD team, a dream she and Dr. Green always hoped for. Emily brings a sense of purpose and calm to whatever she pursues and has a unique ability to provide uncompromising care and a gentle nature to her patients.
When she is not bettering the profession of dentistry, Emily currently spends her time on the road, chauffeuring kids between activities, lessons, and games. “Mom” is her number one priority, and her family is what motivates her to strive for excellence daily.
About Dr. Jones
Laura Katherine Jones grew up in Carthage, MS. She received her bachelors degree at the University of Mississippi in 2011. She received her masters degree in Medical Sciences from Mississippi College in 2012 and graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Dentistry in 2017.
Upon graduating from dental school, she began working with her dad, David Henderson, in her hometown of Carthage. The time she spent working with her dad is invaluable, and she is forever grateful for all she learned from him.
For the past almost 4 years, Dr. Jones worked for a dental group in Byram and Crystal Springs. She loves what she does and especially cherishes the relationships she has made with her patients over the years.
Dr. Jones and her husband, Andrew, live in Gluckstadt and have two children, Jane Frances and Louis. They are members of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson where Dr. Jones sings.
About Dr. Volk
Mary Catherine Volk was born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She attended Mississippi State University before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s School of Dentistry.
Dr. Volk loves getting to know her patients and helping them feel at ease from the moment they walk through the door. She believes that trust and comfort are just as important as clinical skill. She is committed to providing thoughtful, thorough, high-quality care that helps every patient leave smiling.
Dr. Volk and her husband, Matt, live in Jackson with the newest addition to their family, a corgi named Maple. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling and is always looking for her next adventure!
