Celebration Week + Reflections
Last week was one for the books! We started off celebrating our wonderful assistants, Heleena and Amy, and their hard work and dependability. Let me tell you- I could NOT function without these two! They are a constant source of encouragement for me and effortlessly ease the anxiety of so many patients. Heleena keeps us laughing all day long and deeply cares about her patients. Amy may seem quiet, but she’s always one step ahead of me and doesn’t miss a thing. Thank y’all for all you do on a daily basis.
The team surprised me on Wednesday with cake and confetti celebrating National Dentist Day. It also happened to be my 3 year anniversary of practice ownership! Let’s just say there were A LOT of sweets floating around the office last week. It was a fun week all around and I feel so #blessed.
Just a quick reflection on my 3 years at GFFD (well, 4 years if you count the year I worked as an associate): Has it been easy? Not exactly! I want to thank the patients who stuck with me at the beginning. This little practice went through a lot of transition in a short amount of time, and it was beyond scary to be another new face when I first started. To those who chose to get to know me, give me a chance, and trust me with your dental needs, THANK YOU! In addition to navigating my way through practice ownership, I also had a couple of babies, my husband John FINALLY finished his medical training, and we moved to be closer to the practice. It’s been wild, but I wouldn’t have done it any other way!
Plain and simple- Grants Ferry Family Dentistry is my home. Thanks to everyone who has made GFFD their home as well, and I look forward to what lies ahead!
